Bio
Jeffrey Richard Oliveira a.k.a. Lil Jeff was born on July 20,1990. He is a
new, up and coming artist from Pawtucket RI. Growing up in life his mom and
dad divorced when he was at the early age of just eight. Lil’ Jeff
explained that the tragedy was not going hold him back from achieving his
goal toward stardom. Yet he found himself endlessly rhyming, while his
fragmented thoughts haunted him, and prevented him from countless needed
hours of sleep. He soon realized that rhyming came natural and he soon
decided to take up rapping as a hobby at about the age of 13. But the best
way to make his words mean something was through a positive vibe; a rare
style of hip-hop known to the world. This positive manner of rap leaves out
vulgarity, swearing, and negativity. Lil’ Jeff said he never thought
rapping would take him as far as it had seemed to be heading. Lil’ Jeff
produces, he is a songwriter, and an music engineer as well as a well
rounded, positive rapper. He entered his freshman year in high school not
known at all. It was not long before he started rapping at lunch and in
between classes making students late because his flow was so rare. Even
though he was achieving self-respect his friends never gave him the real
respect he deserved until he started rapping with local artists, such as:
Chaci Cavalo, Ze, and Boot. Jeffrey Richard Oliveira finally started seeing
progress in getting noticed as Lil’ Jeff. As he matured, he explained
“Of course mirrors can reflect a simple reflection, but only a heart can
project something so complicated as a personality.” In the hopes of
getting signed to a record label, now as his top priority, night in and
night out he would record and rehearse waiting to perform. In his words he
said “At times it would feel like I was enslaved by my own mind, while
Imprisoned by my own bars.” His first live performance was at that
Pawtucket Boys and Girls Club, more than a year ago. Since then, Jeff has
performed his music at the Hilton Hotel, the Coda Lounge, Ponaganset High
school’s own talent show, and Tommy’s Lounge in Pawtucket. Since then
Opportunities have just been arising, and he has simply been taking them.
